There are two thoughts I loved. First, Captain Moroni was a righteous leader, but not necessarily a prophet. He saw a need and rose to the task. "Likening" this to my life, there are constant spiritual battles and opportunities to lead a good cause. Doct and Cove 58:27-8 comes to mind.
27 Verily I say, men should be anxiously engaged in a good cause, and do many things of their own free will, and bring to pass much righteousness;
28 For the power is in them, wherein they are agents unto themselves. And inasmuch as men do good they shall in nowise lose their reward.
There is so much good to be done in our world!
Secondly, I loved the reminder to be thankful. Because we cannot even understand all the things God does for us it is almost impossible to give thanks for all God does.
